I chose this teacher because her class is incredibly important for the future of those of us who arrive in this country in search of a successful life. This teacher was amazing; her patience and dedication made every student feel supported and valued. Her English class was vital—not only did it help newly arrived children learn to communicate, but it also paved the way for opportunities that will shape their futures. She consistently demonstrated patience, teaching with clarity and kindness, and creating a classroom environment that felt safe and fostered a sense of belonging for everyone. She showed us that she cared deeply about our well-being by maintaining close communication with parents and other teachers, ensuring that every student received support both inside and outside the classroom. Thanks to her care and guidance, many of us—myself included—felt more confident and capable as students; the lessons we learned in her class will continue to be an important part of our lives.
