Mr. Mclaren is our son's 7th grade Science teacher. Since transitioning to middle school, Clay has enjoyed science because of the subject matter and because of the amazing teachers he has had for science. Mr. Mclaren chaperoned an overnight camp with the entire 7th grade class and Clay was in his cabin with other students. Mr. Mclaren is relatable, fun, kind, engaging, and goes above and beyond for his students. He communicates with parents, sends notes of appreciation and celebration for his students, and engages with them outside of the classroom. I have seen him talking to Clay around school and recognize these small moments as big indicators of why students feel like a part of a school community. Clay is seen and challenged at Northview. All of these daily small moments lead to student successes. We appreciate the intentionality Mr. Mclaren brings to each day at Northview. Go Falcons!
