WILLIAM GATES
HOUSTON MIDDLE SCHOOL

STUDENT RECOGNITION STORY

I remember meet the teacher night when I met him I was nervous because I didn't know him but once school started I felt more comfortable around him and he was easy to talk to. Ever since day one Mr. Gates has been there for me anytime I came to him with good or bad news he'd always be there for me. Me and my friends would go to his class every morning just to say good morning. Me and yareli would go to his class before lunch just to walk with him to lunch. Mr.Gates you helped me SO SO much throughout 8th grade. 8th grade wasn't the best but you were always there for me to make it better. He always gave me advice when I needed it no matter what the problems were even if they were dumb boys lol. But Mr.Gates helped me through it. I saw Mr.Gates as a school dad that I could go to anytime I needed something. I remember in 8th grade I was on my way to my 5th period I think, and I was crying and the first thing I thought was go to Mr.Gates and I did. I feel like I didn't give enough appreciation to him considering how much he held me up through the year. But I know its not just me I know so many other people who just loved Mr. Gates and he deserves it because he's just a great teacher. We all miss you Mr.Gates and we hope you're doing great. I hope to see you soon. P.S. me and Bruce are still good and together lol -Bella
