Thomas Wheeler is the Assistant Band Director at Westfield highschool. His contributions to the program over the course of two years have made the bases for a very strong culture and a bonded community, and I, as a graduating senior I'm very honored to have been part of this transition period to the program. At a personal level Mr. Wheeler has helped me to develop as a mature musician, he is the man I thank for making it possible for me to be brave enough to attend auditions for college, scholarships, and going beyond and above duty, having me able to march in Drum Corps International (The most important marching competition across the nation). He has inspired me to follow his steps as an educator, not only that, he has taught me day by day how to be a better person that is capable to inspire others. For that and a lot more, I can't express enough how grateful and honored I feel to have had him as my main educator.
