Congratulations to
Life-Changing Teaching Award Nominee
STEPHANIE BRAZEL
CHARLES AND PHYLLIS FRIAS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
STUDENT RECOGNITION STORY
I am honored to nominate an exceptional educator, Ms. Brazel, whose impact goes far beyond the classroom. At a time when student engagement is increasingly challenged by social pressures and distractions, she has built an environment grounded in discipline, compassion, and a true love of learning.
What makes her stand out is her ability to hold high expectations while genuinely connecting with her students. She leads with both structure and empathy, understanding that each student is different and meeting them where they are, while still pushing them to grow. She has a way of making learning engaging and relevant through thoughtful activities and hands-on projects that keep students invested and excited.
Just as important is her consistent and proactive communication with parents. She brings families into the process early, creating alignment around each child’s success. When challenges come up, she addresses them quickly and thoughtfully, working in partnership with parents to redirect and support students before issues grow. That level of care and communication makes a real difference.
Her classroom is a place where students feel supported, challenged, and motivated. You can see it in the confidence they build, the pride they take in their work, and the overall level of excellence they achieve.
Beyond academics, she is shaping who these students become—instilling discipline, resilience, kindness, and a lasting love of learning.
The results speak for themselves. She is not just teaching, she is making a meaningful, lasting impact on her students’ lives.
I strongly and wholeheartedly recommend Ms. Brazel for this recognition. Second grade has been truly a breathe fresh air and a reinstilled faith and trust in our school district.
