As a new family at WLE, we quickly realized how fortunate we were to have Ms. Paredes as Princeton’s teacher. Other parents consistently shared their positive experiences, assuring us, “You’re in good hands.” Especially being part of a dual language class, we couldn’t have hoped for a better teacher. While we were told we might not always “see” big displays of emotion, it’s clear through Princeton’s growth and happiness that Ms. Paredes deeply cares about her students. This has been evident throughout Princeton’s first half of PK-4. Princeton’s development this year—especially in Spanish—has been remarkable. His ability to count, name objects, and even sing songs in Spanish (sometimes surprising us by singing them as naturally as he does in English!) shows just how much he’s learning and enjoying school. The fact that he looks forward to homework and is eager to participate speaks volumes about the positive, encouraging atmosphere Ms. Parades creates in her classroom. It’s a place where students feel safe, valued, and excited to learn. Whenever we’ve needed to reach out, Ms. Paredes has always responded with attentiveness and empathy. Her communication makes us feel supported and reassured as parents. What truly stands out is how Ms. Paredes has helped Princeton become a more confident student. He’s not only learning Spanish—he’s proud of it! He’ll sing in Spanish at home, correct our pronunciation, and show a real drive to learn more. This confidence comes from Ms. Paredes’s teaching style, her supportive classroom environment, and her belief in her students’ abilities. Ms. Paredes also recognizes and celebrates her students’ efforts, both in their schoolwork and their behavior. This encouragement extends beyond the classroom and helps reinforce positive habits at home as well. We are so grateful for Ms. Paredes’s dedication, warmth, and the wonderful impact she’s had on Princeton and his classmates. She truly is an awesome teacher!
