Our son Austin is on the spectrum and has been with Ms. Lane for two years; second grade and now third grade. Last year Ms. Lane saw the fear in my eyes at our last IEP meeting for Austin's second grade year. She let me know where Austin needed to be academically for Third grade, what's expected of him in her class as well as overall (by the district). We know third grade is tough for most students especially students with an IEP for ASD. Ms. Lane let me know upfront she does everything she can for all of her students even with the lack of resources. We know the district will allow so much per class and per child, but Ms. Lane goes above and beyond with communication. We as parents appreciate everything Ms. Lane has done for Austin these past two years because we know its not easy with each child having little to no resources available outside of school.
