For three years, Ms. Russell, Shari Lynne has been more than my teacher—she has been my guide. She is an incredible educator because she goes far beyond teaching English—she transforms the way her students see themselves. Her patience, kindness, and genuine love for teaching create a classroom where every student feels safe, valued, and capable. She has a unique ability to connect with her students and make learning feel meaningful, not just required. She makes me feel excited to come to class because of the positive and welcoming environment she creates. In her classroom, participation is encouraged, mistakes are embraced as part of growth, and every student feels motivated to try their best. Her energy and dedication make learning something to look forward to. She shows that she truly cares through her actions every day. She takes the time to explain concepts in different ways, ensures that no student is left behind, and most importantly, believes in her students—even when we doubt ourselves. That belief changes everything. Ms. Russell has helped me become a better and more confident student by encouraging me to speak, improve, and push beyond my fears. Because of her, I have grown academically to the point of being recognized as one of the top students each trimester. But more importantly, she helped me find confidence in my own voice. She has supported me both inside and outside the classroom by always being approachable, understanding, and willing to help. Her impact goes beyond academics—she builds confidence, discipline, and self-belief that will stay with me for life. Great teachers teach lessons.
