Ms. McCormack is awesome because she has been an amazing, supportive adult/teacher at this school for my daughter. She has been there for my daughter, treated her like her own child, fed her/ bought her food on several occasions without complaint, without ever telling me, without ever asking for a thing. I had no idea how much she was doing for my daughter. She takes care of Arezu like she's her own - making sure she is safe at all times and making sure she feels loved, accepted, and secure. If it was not for Ms. McCormack, Arezu would have greatly struggled to feel mentally/emotionally okay at school. To top that off, Ms. McCormack doesn't just treat Arezu like gold, she treats every student this way. She does so much for the students around her, going above and beyond each day. Some things that Ms. McCormack does that make Arezu excited to go to class, or school at all, are make her classroom a truly safe space that accepts everyone. She has a way of accepting every student and making them feel like they belong. She helps them with anything they need, makes sure they are fed, and makes sure they are taken care of. Without Ms. McCormack, Arezu would not be remotely excited to go to school at all! Ms. McCormack lets Arezu know she cares because she speaks to Arezu one-on-one about different issues. She is there for her, helps her with everything, gives her a break when needed, and lets her rest when things are stressful. This also makes Arezu a better and more confident student because it gives Arezu the stamina and safety that allows her to focus on her school work and work hard. It motivates her to keep going and keep trying without giving up. As you can see, Ms. McCormack goes the extra mile to make Arezu (and all of her students) feel supported inside and outside the classroom. I feel so much better knowing that my daughter has someone like this at school. I can trust that someone is looking out for her at all times, like they would their own child. It truly means the world to us. My daughter absolutely loves her teacher!
