I have always struggled in the math department since elementary school. I never prioritized my work and it took me a while to understand simple concepts. I was introduced to Mrs. Ishmael second semester and I realized that she cares so deeply for all of her students. She strives to recognize each one of her students individually and make them feel seen. We’ve had two tests in her class already and I was successful in passing both of them. I believe she should be honored because she helped me understand math more clearly and she also helped me be a better problem solver.
