My son was shy in preschool and he had a hard time trying new things because he was afraid. We prayed for the right kindergarten teacher for him and Mrs. Spory is a literal Godsend! She not only built his confidence back up in the classroom to try new things (and kindergarten has a LOT of new things they have learned already this year!), but she taught him to read so well, and he actually loves going to school! She created such an encouraging and welcoming environment that also teaches the children to take responsibility and to have accountability, and even though there’s a lot of science behind how successfully she runs her classroom, the results are almost like magic! She sends physical postcards in the mail to celebrate each child’s achievements. She knows every child’s strengths, weaknesses and interests and leads with grace to help them be at their best holistically. I’m blown away with my son’s academic growth in her class, but I’m more impressed with the confidence he has developed and I know a big part is because of Mrs. Spory. If I could award her for best teacher, I’d give her the biggest award! She definitely works so hard for the benefit of the children and their growth and well-being is apparently the top priority in her work. Thank you, Mrs. Spory, for all the heart and effort you pour into our treasures!
