What makes Ms. Davis an exceptional teacher is her honesty and dedication. She isn’t afraid to tell us what we need to hear, encouraging us to step up to the challenge. If we don’t succeed right away, she motivates us to keep trying until we achieve mastery or reach the next level, like earning a green dot on IReady. One of the things that makes me excited for her class is her vibrant personality. Her energy makes the whole class feel lively and eager to learn. Ms. Davis’s teaching is truly phenomenal. She shows she cares by providing us with constructive feedback on how to improve, both academically and in our behavior. She also celebrates our progress by giving us compliments and rewards when we improve. She clearly communicates her expectations for our behavior and shares her vision for us to be the best class and be prepared for the future. Ms. Davis boosts my confidence by encouraging me to speak up about the things I need help with and reminding me that I can accomplish any goal I set. She supports us both inside and outside the classroom by pushing us to do our best and attending our events to cheer us on. I believe Ms. Davis deserves the Honors Schools Life-Changing Teachers Award because she truly makes a difference and is an incredible teacher.
