There are so many wonderful things to say about Coach Hammond! She is invested in the school and teaching her kids good health habits through her physical education classes. She encourages proper diet, snacking and exercise, trying to instill in young kids the importance of a healthy lifestyle. She consistently challenges my child to work hard to get the results she wants to see in sports while encouraging the learning of life lessons. Coach Hammond came to watch my daughter play basketball a couple of weeks ago. At the end of the game she told her how proud she was of her toughness, how she jumped back up from a minor injury and was ready to keep playing. How hard she worked getting rebounds and tying people up for jump balls. Coach Hammond wasn’t focused on the score or the outcome of the game, she was focused on helping my daughter develop grit and determination that will serve her well in whatever she pursues in life. Thanks for being that positive influence in my daughter’s life! But also in the lives of all your elementary school kids.
