Mrs. Martinez, I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are truly one of a kind. What makes you so special is the way you treat General like he is your own. As a mom of a nonverbal child with special needs, that level of care and love is something I don’t take for granted. You make it easier for me to leave my baby in someone else’s hands because I know he is with someone who not only understands him but genuinely loves him. Even though General can’t express it in words, I can see how much he feels safe and comfortable with you. I notice it in the way he’s calm when he’s with you and how he lights up when he sees you. That tells me everything I need to know. Your classroom is a place where he’s not just included, but where he belongs. You show you care in ways that go far beyond your job. You communicate with me, you listen, and you go out of your way to support General’s growth. You make me feel like I’m not doing this alone. You help him grow with confidence, celebrate every little win, and encourage him every step of the way. That kind of support makes all the difference for both of us. Thank you for seeing him.
