Mr. Correa is an excellent teacher and has been one of my son's all time top favorites at Sanger. As a parent, I can tell he genuinely cares about each of his students and wants them to succeed. He sees what they gravitate toward and what subjects they like and how they learn best, and he gives opportunities where possible for those kids to do more of those things. As a student, I know my son has talked about feeling encouraged by Mr. Correa and thoroughly enjoying him as a teacher. His favorite things to learn this year have been Science first and foremost and social studies. The things he comes home talking most about are when they get to do science lab experiments in Mr. Correa's class. Mr. Correa gives his all in the classroom, makes himself available for help, whether it's being ready to answer homework clarification questions outside of school hours, or letting parents know about exciting opportunities for their kids. In addition to that, he also leads extracurricular clubs at school - the Debate team and the Robotics Team! He is a core part of what makes the school amazing and we are so grateful to have had him as a teacher this year. Mr. Correa is more than deserving of this award, and we hope he gets it!
