Congratulations to
Life-Changing Teaching Award Nominee
RICHARD NEAL
HOMESTEAD SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

STUDENT RECOGNITION STORY

1. I like the way he teaches and he’s more easy to talk to than most of my teachers 2.i like how he lets us work with our friends instead of forcing us to work with random classmates since im kinda awkward and im scared to talk to new people sometimes. Since im working with my friends i can explain things to them since they actually want to learn and I can learn from them when i forget things from the work that was given to us. 3. He’s pretty chill and he lets us have small talk with him sometimes and he always helps us in any type of way without making me feel like “oh wow okay never asking him again.” He makes things easy 4.they make me feel smarter than my other classes and I’m not that good in math, by the way. I like how he doesn’t make me feel stupid and he doesn’t target students which makes me feel more comfortable and confident. 5. They supported me by helping me with work when I have no idea on what the hell i am doing. He allows me to walk around the classroom so i can learn from some of the classmates I’m comfortable being around and talking. He doesn’t really make me talk which is good since i sometimes feel forced to put energy into talking and I let him know i was actually getting the lesson by finishing up my work. He lets us know when stuff is due. He sometimes pushes the deadline when we forget to do things which helps my grade.
