Even though my daughter has struggled academically, Ms. Neufeld welcomed her into her Magnet Research class with patience, understanding, and an open heart. From the very beginning, she made my daughter feel capable and valued, allowing Jaz to work at her own pace while consistently providing the guidance, structure, and encouragement she needed to succeed. Ms. Neufeld never made her feel defined by her grades; instead, she focused on her potential and helped her see strengths she did not believe she had. Through this class, Ms. Neufeld has exposed my daughter to opportunities, challenges, and academic experiences that Jaz once believed were far beyond her abilities. She has helped her develop confidence, critical thinking skills, and a willingness to try—even when the work feels difficult. When Jaz struggles, Ms. Neufeld takes the time to work with her one-on-one, patiently explaining concepts and reassuring her that it is okay to learn at a different pace. Her encouragement never wavers, and she genuinely invests in my daughter’s success. As a parent, I have seen a remarkable change in my daughter this year—not only academically, but emotionally and mentally as well. Jaz is more confident, more motivated, and more willing to believe in herself than she has ever been before. I truly believe that this growth is largely due to being under Ms. Neufeld’s guidance and care. She has made a lasting impact on my daughter’s self-esteem and love for learning, and for that, I am incredibly grateful.
