STUDENT RECOGNITION STORY

My teacher is awesome because he actually cares about us and wants us to do well. He doesn’t just teach and move on—he makes sure we understand, and he’s always willing to help if we’re confused. He makes class something I don’t dread going to. The way he teaches is interesting, and he finds ways to keep things from getting boring, which makes a big difference. You can tell he cares because he checks in on us and encourages us, especially when we’re struggling. He notices when something’s off and tries to help, which means a lot. He’s helped me become more confident by pushing me to try harder and not give up on myself. Even when I’m not sure I can do something, he reminds me that I can. He also supports us outside of class, like being available for extra help or just giving advice when we need it. I’m really glad I have him as a teacher. He somehow makes class not boring, which feels kind of impossible, but he does it. Whether it’s the way he explains things or the random comments he makes, it keeps things interesting. You can tell he cares because he checks in on us and actually notices when we’re struggling—even when we’re trying to pretend we totally understand what’s going on. He’s always there to help and doesn’t make you feel dumb for asking questions. He’s helped me become more confident by pushing me to try, even when I’d rather just say “I don’t get it” and give up. He actually makes me feel like I can figure things out. He also helps outside of class, like staying after or answering questions, which he definitely doesn’t have to do—but does anyway. Overall, he’s just a great teacher, and I’m really glad I have him (even if he gives us work).
