Mr. Winter is a phenomenal teacher, not only in an academic way but also as a role model. He cares about his students, their well-being, and more. Some things he did that made me excited to go to his class were always greeting every person who walked into the room with a smile and a hello. This small gesture simply made me feel encouraged to finish the day. He let me know that he cared about me when he would explain topics that I didn't understand; he did so without making me feel undervalued or as if I wasn't smart enough for the class. Mr. Winter made me feel more confident in my abilities as a student because he would always push me to my limits, and he encouraged me by always being a supportive teacher. He has supported me inside of the classroom by always offering to help me when I’m stuck on something, or he would hold study sessions in order to make sure every student has the opportunity to grow. He has supported me outside of the classroom by simply being there; he is always there when I need advice or help with anything.
