Life-Changing Teaching Award Nominee
PHYLLIS ANIZAN
WUNSCHE HIGH SCHOOL

STUDENT RECOGNITION STORY

Every morning, I come into school, and my day starts with Miss Anizan. I don't have her as a teacher anymore, but she still treats me and cares for me as if I were still in her class. Most of the time, when you leave a class, you never talk to those teachers again, but Miss Anizan is rare. She cares for the students and the environment around her and only pushes each kid she meets to be the best. Miss Anizan tasks herself as a supervisor and leader of many student organizations, shes a wonderful librarian, and she takes on the tasks of giving kids a place in her library when they do their online classes. Miss Anizan welcomes everyone with open arms and, at times, has pushed me to be a better person. Miss A. never lost faith in me, even when I was losing it in myself, and always gave me a safe space to confide in someone when I felt lost. Miss Anizan has supported me through all of my ffa achievements and in all has done what a lot of teachers can't do, and that is to be genuine with your intentions and treat everyone like they deserve a place where they are. I do believe Miss Anizan deserves this award because she is one of the hardest working and most selfless person I have ever met, and I would love to see her happy knowing her actions do have an impact on the people around her.
