Dr. Parks is truly a teacher I will never forget. She was strict, but it never felt unfair it felt like she saw something in us and refused to let us settle for less. Even on the days when her expectations felt tough, you could tell it all came from a place of genuine care. She didn’t just teach criminal justice, she brought it to life. You could feel her passion in every lesson, and it made you want to show up, pay attention, and actually try. She made learning feel meaningful, like what we were doing mattered. What really meant the most to me is how much she cared about us as people, not just students. You could feel that she wanted us to succeed not only in her class, but in life.
