Congratulations to
Life-Changing Teaching Award Nominee
PATRICIA JUAREZ SWAN
BURCHETT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
STUDENT RECOGNITION STORY
We have had the pleasure of having Ms. Juarez in our child’s life for the past four years. She taught my daughter in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade, and now that she is in 5th grade, I still feel honored to be able to reach out to her with any concerns—she always comes through. She is truly one of a kind!
Her dedication to helping her students succeed extends far beyond the classroom. Every year, she gave her own time to provide before-school and after-school tutorials. Never in my life have I encountered such commitment to this profession.
I have seen firsthand how much she cares for her students, and I know how difficult it was for her to let them go when they moved on to 5th grade. She learns her students at heart, advocates for them, and tailors her teaching strategies to meet their individual needs.
Ms. Juarez helped my daughter overcome her testing anxiety, and despite no longer being her teacher this year, she continues to check in regularly. She has boosted my daughter’s confidence and has also guided us as parents to proactively engage in her education to help her succeed.
Her communication skills are exceptional, and her ability to build meaningful relationships with both students and families exceeds all expectations. If we could take her with us every school year, we would. Ms. Juarez truly defines excellence and a genuine love for her profession!
