ROBERSON MIDDLE SCHOOL
STUDENT RECOGNITION STORY
“More than just a Math class”
Some classrooms feel stressful, but this one feels like a place where mistakes help you learn. Mr.Free is like a supportive guide, always encouraging students to keep going even when things feel difficult. Before being in his class, I sometimes felt unsure of myself. Especially when I didn’t understand something right away. His classroom feels welcoming, and he makes it clear that trying your best matters more than perfect.
What makes Mr.Free a great teacher is how patient and understanding he is. He explains lessons clearly and never makes students feel bad for asking questions. When I struggle, he encourages me to keep trying and reminds me that learning takes time. One time I didn’t understand a lesson, and he helped me after class until it made sense. That support helped me feel more confident.
Mr.Free truly cares about his students and wants everyone to succeed. He encourages us every day and celebrates our progress, even small improvements. Because of him, I feel more confident and motivated in class. I am thankful to have Mr.Free as my teacher because his encouraging attitude helped me as a student.
