Congratulations to
Life-Changing Teaching Award Nominee
NEAH KRIGGER
REDLAND MIDDLE SCHOOL

STUDENT RECOGNITION STORY

Ms. Krigger is an exceptional educator whose selflessness and leadership define the Redland Middle School robotics magnet program. Ms. Krigger is a dedicated leader who sacrifices her personal time—staying late after school and traveling to competitions on weekends—to ensure her students succeed. Her commitment to "perfecting the build" alongside her students demonstrates a rare level of professional mentorship and selfless service. She fosters an environment of autonomy by arriving early and opening her doors before the bell rings. This allows students to jump straight into their projects, creating an engaging, hands-on atmosphere where the momentum of building and innovation never stops. By providing a "safe space" where every student has a voice without judgment, Ms. Krigger prioritizes emotional safety. Her willingness to be present during off-hours proves to students that their passions and personal growth are her highest priorities. Ms. Krigger’s teaching style grants students the independence to solve complex problems. By trusting them with autonomy in their robot & coding builds, she transforms them into confident, self-reliant learners who feel empowered to take risks. Inside the classroom, she provides the tools and guidance to master robotics; outside of it, she acts as a steadfast advocate, accompanying students to competitions on her own time to ensure they can showcase their hard work on a competitive stage.
