What makes this teacher truly awesome is her kindness. My son says his favorite thing is how nice she is and how she sometimes surprises the class with free time, which makes him feel happy and excited to be there. More importantly, she creates a classroom where students feel safe to learn. He shared that she always explains what they need to do clearly and never makes anyone feel bad for not knowing something. That kind of patience builds both confidence and a love for learning. What sets her apart is her genuine care for her students. My son recognizes that she is “nicer,” but as a parent and a fellow teacher, I see that her kindness is intentional and impactful. She goes beyond the classroom by showing up to support her students at events outside of school, which speaks volumes about her dedication. She not only teaches academics but also nurtures each child’s confidence. By meeting students where they are and recognizing their individual strengths, she helps them grow into more capable and self-assured learners. My son says he will truly miss her kindness in 4th grade, and I think that says everything.
