Ms. Herrera was my 3rd and 4th grade teacher and is truly an amazing teacher who made a lasting impact on my life. What makes her so awesome is the way she always brought positivity and encouragement into the classroom. She made learning feel exciting and welcoming, which helped every student feel comfortable to participate and have fun learning! One thing that made me excited to go to school everyday was how creative the lessons were. She used fun activities, stories, and so many fun projects that made even difficult subjects easier to understand. Instead of just reading from a textbook, they found ways to make learning interactive and memorable. I remember and still own my books that she lent me like Abuela by Arthur Dorros, which is still my favorite book to this day.  She also showed that she cared about her students by always being patient and supportive. If someone was struggling, she took the time to help without making anyone feel embarrassed. She listened to students, encouraged us to try our best, and reminded us that mistakes were part of learning. Because of her encouragement, I became a more confident student. She believed in my abilities and pushed me to keep improving. Her support helped me feel proud of my work and motivated me to keep learning. Inside the classroom, she helped me understand new subjects and grow academically. Outside of the classroom, her kindness and encouragement helped me believe in myself. Having a teacher who cared so much made a huge difference, and I will always appreciate the positive impact they had on my life.  Thank you for all that you’ve done for me!  With lots of love,  Ash A
