Mr. Thompson is simply unlike any teacher I've ever had; his teaching is unique and I know for a fact that I'm more than engaged every time class is in session. He's just got a great personality- incredibly vibrant, lively, real, and hilarious. Sensei's humor is my favorite kind of humor. Not only does he have a great personality, but he's very skilled at teaching lessons; he's organized and knows exactly what he wants to do & how to get it done. Also, his music taste is immaculate. Walking into class just to hear what he's playing is so enjoyable. Sensei knows how to connect with his students; I feel safe to tell him things a bit more on the personal side and in general, he shows that he cares. He's created a safe space and a mini home within the classroom (at least I can say that for my period).
