Mrs. Velez has truly been a huge inspiration and supporter in my junior year. She has helped me so much, growing as a person, and learning how the process works in the real world around me. She has been a beacon of light for Homestead Senior, for the theater department and for every student. She accepts them as her own and helps them in any way possible. Really, she is a wonderful teacher and person in general. Her way of teaching allows us to express ourselves and explore the task in hand. Not putting everyone in one box and expecting us to know what is needed to be done. Understanding every student's needs and treats us like human beings. Instead of treating us like children that know no better and need to follow every little thing. We're humans who can grow our knowledge and talents in her class. I can't thank her enough for everything she has done and taught us.
