Mrs. Velez is not only a mentor but a mother to her students, She has made sacrifices for us that most teachers would never do for their students. She’s passionate, thoughtful, and wise. Mrs. Velez has never left us stranded, confused, or lost; even when she’s going through something traumatic or an emergency, Velez has always pushed through for us. Mrs. Velez has even came out of her own pocket to provide us with the resources we need to win competitive performances, and in-school performances. She has also taken away from her own teaching time, to assist other performing arts teachers and Schools administration events. She Diversified and flexible. I couldn’t have asked for a better teacher.
