Our daughter Lucia’s teacher Miss Molly is an absolute star. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure the kids in her care have the best experience possible. In addition to meeting her daily responsibilities, she has organized numerous off-site field trips; this is no small feat for kids who have these kinds of disabilities. She also inquires about Lucia when she is absent and sends us pics of all the fun activities they do. Her passion for her craft and her kids is obvious. I doubt she receives any additional compensation or acknowledgement for these efforts. But we do recognize it; we do care. Our children are special, and we worry anytime they are under another person’s care. But knowing Lucia is with Molly puts us at ease as we know she will not only be looked after, but loved. As parents with a special needs child, that brief respite means the world. We want Molly to know that we recognize everything she does not only as an educator, but as a caregiver who truly has the best interests of the kids at heart. What she does matters; we are truly blessed to have her in our lives.
