Ms. Nguyen is an absolutely AMAZING teacher who goes above and beyond for her students. What makes her so special is how much she genuinely cares about everyone in her class. She creates an environment where learning feels comfortable, and her lessons are always clear and easy to understand, which makes it much easier to focus/learn. Although Ms. Nguyen is not my current teacher, she continues to have a huge impact on me as a student. I had her in 7th and 8th grade, and even two years after leaving middle school, she is still one of my favorite teachers of all time. I’m currently in 10th grade, and while I sometimes struggle in my current math class, I know for a fact that if Ms. Nguyen were teaching my class (precalculus), I would feel much more confident/successful. Her ability to explain difficult concepts so clearly definitely makes a difference. I remember last year, when some classmates and I were struggling with our schoolwork and didn’t know what to do, Ms. Nguyen took the time to help us and explained everything in a way that actually made sense. She was patient, supportive, and just really helpful in general. Ms. Nguyen always made herself available to students, whether it was during class or after school, or through email. Ms Nguyen listened and gave us thoughtful feedback, even in non-math-related subjects. One moment that stands out to me the most happened during Ramadan in eighth grade. I was fasting that day, but halfway through the school day, I was no longer able to continue my fast. Lunch was almost over, the lunch lines had already closed, and I hadn’t eaten anything. Ms. Nguyen immediately made sure I had a snack and very kindly offered to let me stay in her classroom for the rest of the day if I needed to. Even though Ms. Nguyen may not remember this moment, it's one that has stayed with me and that I remember vividly. Because of Ms. Nguyen, I definitely became a more confident student. She pushed her students to do their best while reminding them that mistakes are a normal and important part of learning. She supports students both inside and outside the classroom. Out of all the teachers I’ve had, there are only a few (three) I hold very close to my heart, and Ms. Nguyen is absolutely one of them. She is not only an incredible teacher, but also an AMAZING person!!
