As a new student here at Claughton Middle School, Mr Wright makes me feel welcome, he jokes around in class, he includes everyone, he lets us talk and communicate to understand each other, and he just makes me feel as I am home. These little things really make my day especially when I am having a bad day, the little things really matter. He lets me know he cares about me by checking in on me, helping me when I struggle, ect. To make me a better and more confident student, Mr Wright gives me chances, he gives me time, he helps me, he emphasizes progress over perfection, he focuses on my belief, he validates my effort, acknowledges difficulty, and celebrates the small things we overcome. He supported me in and outside the classroom by showing up weither its for schoolwork or just advice for life or anything. And that's why Mr Wright is my favorite teacher here at Claughton Middle School. - Milan Tierra Burkhaulter .
