He is an incredibly hardworking teacher, football coach, and man in general. What makes him truly awesome is his unwavering dedication; he always tries his absolute best to just show up for his students and players, no matter what he has going on behind the scenes. One of the things I respect most about him and what makes his class such a great environment is his emotional discipline. He never projects his own stress or personal frustrations onto us. Walking into his classroom, you always know what to expect because he creates a stable, positive space where we can just focus on learning and being students. But the moment that truly showed me how much he cares was when he told me I was smart. Hearing that from my football coach and teacher completely shifted my perspective. It made me a better, more confident student because someone I deeply respected genuinely believed in my intelligence. His support goes far beyond the football field or the daily lesson plan. He has taken the time to teach me a lot about post-secondary life and what comes next. Having a mentor who helps you navigate the transition after graduation, while consistently showing up for you every day, is rare. He has shaped not just the student and athlete I am today, but the person I am becoming.
