When I think back to teachers that have truly made an impact on my education I think of Ms. Kap from my time at Claughton Middle School. What set her apart from my other teachers is how patient, invested, and methodical she was with how she worked with me, and how she broke down the steps & procedures for me to understand. Math was never my best subject and I was border line clueless, but she helped me feel comfortable and safe in the learning space , and guided my understanding. Thinking back now as a high school student, I know in my heart that Ms. Kap cared deeply for all of our education and success, and I was truly lucky to experience her as a teacher, whether it was in small group, tutorials, or during class lessons. The world is a better place better there are teachers like Ms. Kap in the classroom making a difference for the future.
