Congratulations to
Life-Changing Teaching Award Nominee
MARGARET BOLDER
BENJAMIN FRANKLIN ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE MATHEMATICS AND SCIENCE SCHOOL

STUDENT RECOGNITION STORY

What makes Ms. Bolder an amazing teacher is how much she teaches in such a short amount of time. I also think that her personality and the way she expresses herself are truly inspiring. Something that Ms. Bolder does that excites me for class is that she’s not very strict, she allows us to express how we feel and genuinely tries to understand us better. Not every teacher is like that, and it’s really a blessing to have someone who cares about us in that way. Ms. Bolder shows she cares about me by giving me feedback on my performance and providing positive energy that motivates me to succeed. She makes me feel more confident as a student by encouraging me to come out of my shell and share more about my strengths and weaknesses, especially in Science. She supports us both inside and outside the classroom by offering honest insights about ourselves and reminding us that we can master the material if we work hard and stay focused. For me, Science is not my strongest subject, but Ms. Bolder always encourages me by telling me that I can improve and that she believes I have the potential to do better. Her words motivate me to try harder, and I’ve seen a lot of progress because of her support. Thanks to her encouragement, my recent report card shows a B in her class, and I am grateful for the boost she’s given me to improve even in subjects I find challenging. This is Ms. Bolder’s first year at Benjamin Franklin Elementary and Middle School of Mathematics and Science, and I feel honored to have her as my teacher. She truly makes a positive difference in my life and in the lives of all her students.
