I am honored to nominate Ms. Small for recognition as an outstanding teacher. From the moment we joined her class later in the school year, she welcomed us with kindness, warmth, and genuine support. She made what could have been a difficult transition feel easy and comfortable, and that speaks volumes about the kind of teacher she is. What makes Ms. Small truly awesome is her ability to connect with her students on both an academic and personal level. She creates a classroom environment where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. Her positive attitude and encouraging spirit make a lasting impact on her students every single day. Ms. Small makes learning exciting by bringing energy and creativity into her lessons. Whether through engaging activities, interactive discussions, or simply her enthusiasm for teaching, she finds ways to keep students interested and motivated to learn. She creates a space where students actually look forward to coming to class. She consistently shows that she cares by checking in on her students, offering extra help when needed, and always taking the time to listen. She goes beyond just teaching lessons—she builds relationships and makes sure her students know they matter both inside and outside of the classroom. Ms. Small has also helped build confidence in her students. She encourages us to believe in ourselves, celebrates our progress, and supports us when we struggle. Because of her, students feel more comfortable participating, asking questions, and pushing themselves to do better. Inside the classroom, she provides guidance, patience, and understanding. Outside the classroom, she continues to be supportive, offering encouragement and showing that she truly cares about her students’ well-being and success. Her dedication goes far beyond her role as a teacher. Ms. Small is not only an excellent educator but also a role model who inspires her students to grow academically and personally.
