Mrs. Maggie King is the social worker at Elan Academy School. She has been Kirsten's advocate since 7th grade. She has helped Kirsten with some emotional aspects during sessions and has personally reached out to me when she believed my daughter needed outside counseling. She makes Kirsten feel comfortable in "her own skin" and helps her to embrace her quirkiness and her differences. She encourages her to try new things or experiences. I believe she is one of the reasons Kirsten has tried out for the school's dance team. She has served as a mediator between Kirsten and other teachers. She has left a lasting imprint on Kirsten's life.
