Teacher Nomination for Ms. Stephens I would like to nominate Ms. Stephens in recognition of the meaningful role she played in my daughter Phoenix’s early educational journey as her kindergarten teacher. Kindergarten is such an important and foundational year for children, and Ms. Stephens created an environment where Phoenix was able to begin her academic journey with confidence, excitement, and a love for learning. Her patience, nurturing spirit, and dedication helped Phoenix adjust to the classroom setting while developing the fundamental skills that have continued to support her growth in the years since. What makes Ms. Stephens so special is the way she poured care and encouragement into her students during such a pivotal stage of their development. She made learning feel safe, engaging, and enjoyable, which allowed Phoenix to build confidence in herself as a student from the very beginning. That foundation has truly carried forward into the grades that followed. As a parent, I am incredibly grateful for teachers who recognize the responsibility and influence they have during those early years. Ms. Stephens demonstrated genuine care for her students and created a space where they could explore, learn, and grow in a supportive environment. Looking back now and seeing Phoenix thriving in school, I know that the strong start she received in kindergarten played a major role in shaping her confidence and development as a learner. For that, I will always be thankful to Ms. Stephens and the impact she made during that foundational year.
