Miss McKinnon and the Best Class Ever Hospitality class is never boring, and that’s all because of Miss McKinnon. Every time she walks in, she brings the energy with her. She sits up there at the board and actually takes her time with us. She breaks down the useful stuff: how to greet guests, how to handle a kitchen rush, how to make people feel welcome. She makes sure we get it before moving on. But she’s not just about notes and lessons. Miss McKinnon is hilarious. She’ll crack a joke mid-lecture about burnt toast or a picky customer and have the whole class laughing. I swear, she always puts a smile on my face even on Mondays. Then there are the field trips. While other classes stay stuck at desks, Miss McKinnon is getting us out the door. We’ve toured hotel kitchens, watched real chefs work, and even practiced setting tables at a fancy restaurant. She turns every trip into an adventure and a lesson at the same time. That’s why everyone says Hospitality is the best part of the week. Miss McKinnon teaches us skills we’ll actually use, but she also makes us feel good while we learn.
