Congratulations to
Life-Changing Teaching Award Nominee
KELLY SPAHR
ROBERSON MIDDLE SCHOOL
STUDENT RECOGNITION STORY
Sometimes the toughest teachers can also be the most influential. I believe that Mr. Spahr may be the best teacher in this school for a wide variety of reasons: he’s cool, he’s smart & he tries his best to teach us, no matter the circumstances. While not exactly being the most cool-headed teacher around, I think that makes him a better teacher overall.
Mr. Spahr’s way of educating students may be a bit strange, but not in the way you’d regularly think. If you’ve been in his class for as long as I have, it’s basically common knowledge by now that Mr. Spahr can get a bit heated when teaching. But I think this actually can help the students stay focused during class, Ever since I first got into Spahr’s class, I noticed I’ve been a lot more focused on my work since. Mr. Spahr is otherwise just a pretty chill guy when he’s not angry at something, & I appreciate that.
Mr. Spahr has also given me (& I assume plenty of other students) very wise words of advice, too. He’s taught me the importance of doing my work, and what that can do to me in the future, as well as some extra things that have made me more confident overall, Just thinking of him gives me the energy I need to finish my work, knowing he’d probably do the same thing too. Also, I like the music he listens to during Razorsharp.
Mr. Spahr is about as groundbreaking as the shifting of 2 tectonic plates. He’s a very wise man who has taught me more than I originally thought. He also teaches some pretty cool stuff like how certain things work and how massive our universe really is. I firmly believe that Mr. Spahr is one of, if not the hardest-working man in this school’s entire history.
