Mrs. Sphar is like a compass, he always leads me in the right direction. Sometimes I always hesitate if I get an answer right or wrong, even if I get a failing grade he sits me down and helps me understand what I did not understand. He helps me understand things more thoroughly and more clearly, he makes sure my thoughts don't think of something else and keeps my mind in the right place. Mrs. Sphar also checks up on me like a parent, he makes sure that if something is wrong that I can tell him and he can try to help me out in the situation I am in. Last week I was embarrassed to ask for help, but Mrs. Sphar helped me get over that fear that asking for help isn't bad all the time, he explained to me that we're all human and we all make mistakes. I am thankful to have Mrs. Sphar as a teacher. Coming into 8th grade I would've never thought that science would become this fun, but Mrs. Sphar made sure to let us have fun but also make sure we understand our work. I had so many thoughts about not understanding Science at the beginning of 8th grade, but now I am confident to take the STAAR test and pass with a 80 or above, all thanks to Mrs. Sphar.
