Congratulations to
Life-Changing Teaching Award Nominee
KEISHA SMITH
NORTH MIAMI BEACH SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

STUDENT RECOGNITION STORY

Ms.Smith is awesome as she is one of the most kindest people I’ve met and someone I often learn lessons from just by listening to her speak. Even on her bad days she still finds a way to lower her ego and apologize for her mistakes and I find that extremely influencing?!! In a way as it teaches me that taking accountability is a birth given responsibility and that it’s okay to feel like you don’t want to apologize but it’s very important to if you want to continue have the good relations with the people you care about. I’m often excited to go her classes even when I don’t feel like walking to her class as it allows my mind to work like a puzzle piece and be creative. Overall, there’s so much to say about Ms.Smith but all I want her to know if that it’s okay to not be okay even in adulthood and that’s what most adults forget. Additionally, I really apperciate it whenever she would make us read plays spontaneously whenever one of us troupe members or yearbook staff are upset cus I can see the smile grow on someone’s face throughout the script reading.
