Ms.Daugherty is a very gentle, loving, caring, observant, sweethearted, understandable and devoted teacher to her students. One way I could say Ms.Daugherty is all of these things is that, when I was feeling sad and upset about my fast test, she noticed when no other person in the room did. She called me over and asked if I was alright and automatically knew I wasn’t happy about something. And then I told her that I disappointed her because I didn’t get a level 5 despite all of her encouragement and cheerful words she had said to me and the rest of my classmates. I figured she would be at least a little upset…but she wasn’t. She understood that I tried and that was all that mattered. She even said how an amazing student I was, and hearing those words made me feel seen and heard and that I didn’t need to prove to anyone that a test score shows I am or not a good student. So with all respect and kindness Ms.Daugherty has been my favorite teacher from the beginning and until the end.
