I am proud to nominate my 3rd grade teacher for the incredible impact they had on my life When I entered Ms MCCARTHY class I struggled with reading and often felt discouraged they never gave up on me instead they patiently worked with me helped me set goals and celebreted every bit of progress I made They made learning fun and helped me feel confident sharing my idea Because of their encouragement I went from avoiding reading to actually enjoyed it. More importantly they helped me believe in myself Their kindness patience and dedication made a lasting difference in my life I will always remember how they helped me grow not just as a student but as a person
