Congratulations to
Life-Changing Teaching Award Nominee
JULIE WRIGHT
NORTH CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL
STUDENT RECOGNITION STORY
When I transferred to North Central this year, I was expecting it to be hard for me to reconnect with friends and meet new teachers. Teachers can either be good or bad, it's very hard for a student to build a connection, let alone a very trustful connection with a teacher. Since the first day I stepped into her office, she was very warm hearted and nice to me. She welcomed me immediately. Even though she is not necessarily a teacher, she is probably one of the only adults I trust in the building. Every day, she showed me what it is like to have a good bond with a teacher. She made me feel more confident about myself and really pushed me. Whether I was talking about something serious or I was just saying random things, she always listens to everything I have to say and makes me feel heard/understood. I look forward to going to her office everyday even if it is just for a few minutes. She reminds me everyday that she is always there for me and I couldn't be more happy than to nominate her. No one deserves it more than Mrs. Wright and everything she does for me, other students, and teachers in this building!
