When we started kindergarten with Mrs. Julie Cohen, I was immediately sold on her "no-nonsense" approach and open communication. I never waited long for a response and always felt well informed. It felt like the perfect foundation for our kids. However, life threw a curveball when Mrs. Cohen faced health issues, leaving the class with three different subs over several months. It was a period of upheaval, but the kids bonded tightly and worked together beautifully. When she finally healed and returned, every child was back in line like she never left, and all advanced by leaps and bounds. None of us were ready to say goodbye when the year ended, and thankfully, we didn't have to! Mrs. Cohen was kind enough to move to first grade with us. As far as i know every child that could stay in her class did, which is certainly a testament to her impact. I believe she has a gift for understanding what motivates each specific child and creates the most thoughtful projects. I am so confident in her genuine desire to do right by the children. Mrs. Cohen, we are incredibly lucky that you are such a big part of our kids' core memories!
