Ms. Max was my Coast and my 8th grade Physical Science teacher, and she made science one of the most interesting classes I’ve had. She always took lessons to the next level by doing fun and hands-on experiments that helped us really understand what we were learning. Instead of just reading about science, we experienced it. She also taught us how to use Canva to create projects and presentations. That made class more creative and helped us build skills we’ll use in high school and beyond. She was also part of our COAST experiences like kayaking, snorkeling, shark tagging, and exploring the environment. She helped connect what we learned in Physical Science to real-life situations, which made everything more exciting and meaningful. She pushes you to do your best but also supports you when you need help. She truly cares about her students. Ms. Max is an important part of COAST and truly deserves to be recognized.
