STUDENT RECOGNITION STORY
Mrs. Max is an awesome teacher because she goes far beyond just teaching lessons — she builds relationships and inspires growth. She makes learning exciting, meaningful, and personal. Whether we’re diving into marine science concepts, preparing for major projects, or having class discussions, she brings so much energy and passion into the classroom that it makes me genuinely excited to show up every day. Her classroom feels like a family — a place where everyone feels seen, valued, and supported.
What truly makes Mrs. Max special is how deeply she cares about her students. She checks in on us, celebrates our accomplishments, and supports us through challenges. She doesn’t just see us as students completing assignments — she sees us as individuals with goals and potential. In 2024, when I found out I was going to nationals with Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), she was the very first person I told. That moment meant so much to me because it showed how much I value her support and how much her belief in me has shaped my confidence.
Mrs. Max has made me a better and more confident student by constantly pushing me to reach my full potential. She never lets me settle for “good enough.” Instead, she challenges me to think deeper, speak up, take leadership roles, and step outside of my comfort zone. Because of her encouragement, I’ve learned to trust my ideas and use my voice with confidence. Inside the classroom, she supports me by giving meaningful feedback and making sure I truly understand what I’m learning. Outside of the classroom, she supports my goals, celebrates my achievements, and guides me through opportunities that help me grow.
She hasn’t just helped me academically — she has shaped me into a stronger leader and a more confident person. Mrs. Max has had a lasting impact on who I am becoming, and I am beyond grateful for the role she has played in my journey.
