Ms. Powers has consistently elevates the standard of learning and instruction for all of her students. Her dedication to their success is evident not only in the classroom but in the numerous resources she makes available outside of standard instruction time. Ms. Powers sets a benchmark for all students by ensuring every student has the support they need. She regularly holds weekly support sessions before school, during lunch, and after school to offer personalized reinforcement of key math strategies. Furthermore, her commitment to engagement and accessibility in learning is truly innovative. She expertly incorporates music, dance, and snacks into her teaching methods to ensure the material is not only understood but is also fun and memorable. Ms. Powers is a fruitful and high-standard educator who deserves the highest recognition for her work. Ms. Powers supports Student Council and the Gems sisterhood (estimated 50 girls) providing leadership opportunities, self awareness and excellence in all areas. To add, she is the Head Coach of the award winning Roberson Gems Step Team who competed at Stomp Wars (Nationals) for the first time and placed third in their category.
