Mr. Nguyen is an incredible teacher because of the supportive and open environment he creates in his classroom. Whenever I ask a question, I never have to worry about feeling embarrassed, even if it is something simple I feel I should already know. He treats every question as a valuable opportunity to reinforce what we are learning, which makes everyone feel comfortable participating. Beyond the daily lessons, he truly goes out of his way to help us grow as people and as future scientists. I really appreciate that he was willing to support me with my application for a summer program that combines chemistry and biology. He is always providing us with information about outside opportunities, like the USNCO for chemistry or Boys State for personal leadership. Because of his guidance and his willingness to share these resources, I feel much more prepared to grow within the field of chemistry and as an individual.
